cvs tag

Hi gcdev'ers,

Please let me (all of us gcdev@sseos.lbl.gov) know when
your code in the cvs repository is in proper shape
for MDC1 and I will apply a cvs tag (MDC1) to identify
this version.  We can then use this to build the binaries
for MDC1.
