Solution :
Henrik,
Here is the information I have from Sun.
Gary
Hi Gary:
To clarify further....
1. There was a special promotional offer via the Sun website, but
there were specific terms of accepting the pre-release via the web. It was
good for up to only 10 users to evaluate, not actually use. As well, there
is
no support provided during the evaluation stage and the evaluation expires
on
March 15th.
2. I called Sun Telesales this afternoon to find out when they will be
shipping "as a new product purchase". While Workshop 5.0 is orderable via
Telesales, it is not currently shipping.
Sun Enterprise services will begin shipping the product sometime in April.
You are on the list to receive. We will keep you informed of the eta, as
it becomes available.
In the meantime, I want to be sure we have all pertinent domaines listed.
Can you confirm the domaines you support.
Feel free to call me at 916/855-4623, or page me at 1-888-206-7246.
I would also like to schedule a meeting with you to identify ways in which
we could better augment your efforts. I understand software distribution
is always a concern. It would help my customers if they had more information
about upcoming releases...we are working on this at a Corporate level and
your input is very valuable.
Please let me know what works best for you.
Take Care,
Margaret Baker

Gary,
The workshop compilers will not be shipping for contract entitlement
til around April 1999 or thereabouts. The download is no longer be
offered it was for a limited time only, if you have not already
downloaded it I do not believe you will be able to do so now.
I also beleive with the download was a time limited license that came
with it that the licenses center did not handle. What I'm trying to say
is the actual shipment of 5.0 for contract entitlements will be around
April 1999. And if you did not download the 5.0 from the web yet, the
promotion is over with.
I hope this helps, if not let me know we could talk over the phone to
better clarify this.
Thanks
Debbie
