DZ - I put together a sample of the dataset we will use for the scalability tests. I found a bug in the user code so I will remake the sample. Details are in the email I sent out. Let me know if you have any comments.
DO - We met with Keith and Wayne about the NERSC hpss system to discuss the scalability tests. It looks best to use the system called archive.nersc.gov which is lightly used these days. It has 4 tape drives and 260GB of disk cache (MaxStrat RAID) for the large file (> 100MB) class of service. Migration is run once an hour on the disk cache to write any new files to tape. There are two individual mover nodes called happy and sleepy.
