The US electron ion collider: Why? How? When?
Prof. Abhay Deshpande (Stony Book University)

Abstract: Although no one doubts that QCD is the correct description of the strong interactions, our understanding of it, both at low and high energy is still very incomplete: at the heart of this lies the role played by the gluons. We propose a high-luminosity, high-energy polarized electron-Hadron collider, which could address some of the important unsolved questions about the glue. I will review the some golden measurements at such a collider and present the status and plans of its realization.
