I am currently
a
postdoctoral
researcher at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. I
completed my Ph.D. thesis under the supervision of John Harris in
February 2006 at Yale University.
Before coming to Yale, I finished my undergraduate education at
University of California at Berkeley with a physics degree in the Year
2000. I
received my master of science degree in physics from Yale University in
2001. I study experimental high-energy physics and investigate the properties of strongly interacting, very hot and dense QCD matter produced in Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Long Island, NY. I will continue my investigations at LHC expected to restart in October 2009. STAR experiment is one of the two large scale experiments at RHIC and built to measure the particles that are produced in the collisions of proton to gold ions. I am also a member of ALICE Collaboration at LHC. Here is a list of academic positions that I held: Postdoctoral researcher (2008-present) Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Postdoctoral researcher (2006-2008) Department of Physics, Yale University Research Assistant (2000-2006) Star Experiment, Yale University Teaching Assistant (2000-2005) Department of Physics, Yale University Research Assistant (summer 2000) Star Experiment, Brookhaven National Lab Research Assistant (1999-2000) Theoretical Center of Beam Physics LBNL Teaching Assistant (1997-1998) Department of Physics, Bogazici University |
