Efficiency vs. Accidentals based on MIMOSA5 Results, 0.35 AMS
A cut on the seed pixel at signal/noise of 5 includes essentially all of the min-I signal ref [1]. This is with a pixel noise of 21 e-rms. This measurement was made at 0 deg C to reduce the shot noise. For MIMOSTAR 0.35 AMS we expect similar performance at room temperature because of the much shorter integration time with a 4 ms frame rate.

The expected number of seed pixels above threshold for the 640 X 640 pixel, MIMOSTAR based on 0.35 micron AMS technology is:

Achieving this will require mapping and removal of hot pixels.
