The QCD Transition at Non-Vanishing Temperatures
Zoltan Fodor (University of Wuppertal and UC San Diego)
Abstract:
The nature of the QCD transition for physical quark masses is
determined by using lattice calculation and the continuum extrapolation is
carried out. The transition is an analytic cross-over. The transition
temperatures are also determined in the continuum limit for three
different quantites: chiral susceptibility, strange quark number
susceptibility and Polyakov loop. Since the transition is a cross over
transition temperatures defined by different quantities are different,
too. Special attention is payed to uncertainties of the lattice approach,
most importantly to the continuum limit extrapolation.
