Parton Energy Loss

Abstract:

Recent work on energy loss, especially the medium induced one, of high energy quarks or gluons passing through either large nuclei or a quark-gluon plasma is reviewed. The case of an expanding hot plasma is also considered. Estimates, e.g. on jet attenuation, and phenomenological implications on possible plasma signals are commented.
