HBT Measurements at RHICAbstract: Two-particle correlations allow us to measure key characteristics of the participant region of a heavy ion collision. These include the size, shape, density, and expansion velocity of the system at freezeout as well as the duration of the freezeout process. Much of the theoretical confusion concerning HBT has been cleared up in recent years, but at the cost of imposing large demands on experimental rates and acceptances. We will review the prospects for meeting these demands experimentally at RHIC |
