Measuring Flow at RHICAbstract: Measurements of collective flow, radial and directed, became an important part of the experimental program of heavy-ion physics. Sensitivity of the flow patterns to the geometry and dynamics of the nucleus-nucleus collisions provides a valuable information and insight on the behaviour of nuclear matter under extreme conditions. The up-coming RHIC will open a new era in heavy ion physics. In this talk, model predictions of directed and elliptic flows of nucleons and pions, as well as radial flow of deuterons will be discussed. The experimental possibilities for their detection at RHIC will also be addressed. |
