Hi all,

Just a quick update on the /data01 disk problem.  The disk is intermittently
having access problems.  This is due to a hardware problem on the
disk (possibly a bad internal connector). 

We are currently waiting on information about getting a replacement
disk.  As soon as this information is available we will let you know
the status.

I have a good copy of the data on hpss that I used to attempt to fix
the problem last night.  Once we get a new disk I will 

	1) umount /data02 (these disks are in the same box.

	2) replace the bad drive

	3) reboot starsu00 (this will mount /data02)

	4) format the disk
	
	5) mount the disk

	6) restore the data

This procedure will take approximately 5 hours.  Starsu00 will be available
for all this except the reboot.  /data02 will be unavailable for the first 
2 hours.
