Yes, the cmanager died and the staging file got deleted w/o completion:

Will start thread to stage file psc229_04_120evts_dst.xdf.STAR.DB with
DBID 42
 and size 49217536 bytes.
Stage request for file with FID 42 passed to thread.
Thread 36 will transfer file psc229_04_120evts_dst.xdf.STAR.DB
 of size 49217536 bytes.
