rmds03 unavailability Tuesday

mds03 will be taken off line most likely at
noon on Tuesday Nov 17 so that the gigabit
ethernet card can be brought back on line.

The extent of the interruption is not clear at
this time, it may require a reboot, or it
might require a quick reconnection of cables.

If the gigabit proves to be stable, the system
be left running with gigabit. If there are problems
some attempt will be made to isolate the problem.
If the problems remain unsolvable for an "inordinate"
amount of time, we will back out to the current
dual 100BaseT configuration.
