Transport on Arrival

Participants and accompanying persons will arrive at Cape Town International Airport, located some twenty minutes (or 25 km) from the Breakwater Lodge. They get from the airport to the hotel using Magic Bus (a bus service), private taxis displaying the TAXI logo on the roof of the car or a rental car. Current prices from the airport to the Waterfront are as follows:

Magic Bus Service

• 1 person: R100
• 2 people: R120 (total)
• 3 people: R140 (total)
• 4 people: R160 (total)
• 5 people: R180 (total)

Taxis

Approximately R120 to hire the taxi.

Rental Cars

Many of the international car rental companies operate in South Africa. These include Thrifty, Hertz, Avis, Alamo and Budget among others. Cars can be booked online from the rental companies themselves or otherwise using a third party client. Rates on 17 March 2004 varied from 160 - 300 USD for 15 - 20 September.
