Hi Ed,

I believe RD45 is trying to coordinate the world-wide
usage of FDID's.
As for the GC folks, I rather like Dave Z's model
of having a setup.com script which defines
the environment for a federation and prints out
a message stating who is using it.  It is kind of
a low tech way to check out FDID's as you need them.
