These tests done 2/22/05. Some changes on RCF nodes (?).
PDSF nodes have txqueuelen changed to 1000 for pdsfgrid4,
still at 100 for pdsfgrid5, set at 1000 for pc1632.

Performance is similar between pdsfgrid4 and pdsfgrid5. Default
window size is different for the two nodes (85 kB vs. 64 kB).
Performance varies dramatically between stargrid01, 03 and 04.
stargrid03 is the worst at about 840 kB/s. stargrid04 is the best
with rates of up to 40 MB/s observed when using pdsfgrid5.
stargrid01 is somewhere in between with rates of 6-10 MB/s. This
seems to suggest that window scaling is not working at all on
stargrid03 but is working at least to some degree on the other nodes
(window scaling confirmed to netqos02.bnl.org by Shane and others with
Dantong. They also observed 20 MB/s.). Setting the window
size larger with the iperf -w option doesn't seem to have much
effect. These tests have been repeated over a period of days and
seem quite reproduceable.
Note: Connecting from pdsfgrid4 to stargrid04 required using
stargrid04.
