The Garden Route
The Garden Route is the part of the N2 freeway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. Popular stops along the way include:
September is the best time of year to see the whales. There is an annual
whale festival in
Hermanus. This year it will be held from 23 - 26 September.

- Swaziland: A small monarchy on the eastern side of South Africa.

- Johannesburg: A truly African city, which is the airline hub in South Africa. It is a useful base for exploring the rest of South Africa.
